At United Yachting we respect your privacy, and do everything we can to keep your personal information safe and secure.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When you place an order through our website, we will ask you to provide your name, billing and mailing address, phone number, and email address. This information is necessary to process your order and to contact you if there are any questions about your order. We will use your email address to send confirmation of your order and to send you notice that your order has been shipped. Your encrypted credit card information will be requested by our third party credit card processor, Stripe. Stripe’s Privacy Policy can be found at We do not store your credit card information.

Automatic information we receive and store when you visit our website includes the internet protocol (IP) address, web pages visited, date and time of visit, hostname, and type of browser. This information is used to safeguard against malicious attacks on our website.

Contact Forms

We receive your email address when you contact us through our Contact Us form. This information is only used to respond to your comments and/or questions. We do not use your email address for marketing purposes or provide it to any third party.

This site was built using WordPress. WordPress uses 2 kinds of cookies, one for logging in as a user one and for posting comments. Neither of those activities are used on this site.

The ecommerce section of our website uses WooCommerce for processing orders. To keep track of cart data, WooCommerce makes use of 3 cookies:

  • woocommerce_cart_hash
  • woocommerce_items_in_cart
  • wp_woocommerce_session_

The first two cookies contain information about the cart as a whole and helps WooCommerce know when the cart data changes. The final cookie (wp_woocommerce_session_) contains a unique code for each customer so that it knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. No personal information is stored within these cookies.

Most orders are shipped by the U.S. Post Office. Information necessary for shipping your order is sent to the U.S. Post Office.

How long we retain your data

If you send us an email, the email and its address are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and follow-up previous comments and follow the history of the conversation.

Customer purchase records are kept as required for tax purposes.

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. How we protect your data

Our website is protected and monitored by Wordfence Premium which includes but is not limited to real time Threat Defense Feed and Two Factor Authentication.

Our credit card processor is, a PCI Service Provider Level 1. All transactions are SSL protected and all credit card information is encrypted and safely stored.

What data breach procedures we have in place

In the event of a security breach the following steps will be taken:

Notifying the appropriate supervisory authority no more than 72 hours after becoming aware of a breach of users’ personal data, including the number of users whose data was exposed, the nature of the breach, and what actions are being taken to mitigate its effects.

Communicating this information to the impacted users, especially if the data breach exposed any of their unencrypted personal data.
